The Brand
The Brand GESTURZ has been used for about 17 years now. The abbreviation was created from its full name Galeri Seni Tuanku Nur Zahirah to replace the uncommercial acronym of “GSTNZ” which was previously used since its inception in 2007. The word GESTURZ signifies an action intended to communicate feelings or intentions whereby a movement is made in order to express meaning or emotion or to communicate a message of an idea or notion through creativity-based activities and events, thus demonstrating the core interest of GESTURZ. The design of the GESTURZ brand was inspired by the Calibri typeface giving its bold, contemporary and forward-looking image. Simple and minimalist, but yet, it reflects the dynamism and commitment that goes hand-in-hand with our vision and mission as a university art gallery. Furthermore, it depicts the strong passion and positive energy that is embodied in our DNA value.
